Ukraine suggests it downed 4 Iranian drones, Zelenskiy raps Tehran

Ukraine said on Friday (Sep 23) it experienced downed four Iranian-designed “kamikaze” drones applied by Russia’s armed forces, prompting President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to complain that Tehran was harming Ukrainian citizens.

Military authorities in southern Ukraine reported in a statement they had shot down the Shahed-136 unmanned aerial vehicles about the sea near the port of Odesa.

Ukraine and the United States have accused Iran of providing drones to Russia, some thing Tehran has denied. Zelenskiy has questioned his international ministry to answer to the use of Iranian equipment, spokesman Serhii Nykyforov said.

“These kinds of actions by Iran are deemed as actions against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and also in opposition to the life and nicely currently being of Ukrainian citizens,” he explained in a assertion.

Armed forces specialists say the drones would be practical to Russia for equally reconnaissance and as loitering munitions that can bide their time in finding and engaging appropriate targets.
