An Overview of System Down Below

In this week’s episode of Horns of a Problem,  Charles Edel, the inaugural Australia chair at CSIS in Washington, DC, discusses Australia’s “strategic revolution,” which focuses on developing diplomatic, economic, and military services potential to resist coercion by China. The new AUKUS nuclear submarine deal is a single manifestation of this effort and hard work, but as Edel points out, the offer is just just one element of a much larger strategic realignment, which is very likely to turn out to be ever more crucial to U.S. approach in the Indo-Pacific area.
